Hi

I've installed the latest version of radioboss recently (4.0.2.441) for our radio and then something has gone wrong.
I use to prepare playlists with the playlist generator and program those playlist in the scheduler.
Actually I've got huge errors with the message not enough files... our music library contains more than 8000 titles.... and tagged correctly...
So I don't understand those regular errors.

More critical, now, the generate option is useless cause if I plan a generate command and if it failed the right program can't be play. And the "remove previous schedule" option is dangerous too...

Could it be possible to add a retry function or a verify, or change the order task are done (actually it clean remove previous schedule then try to generate the playlist).

What options are you using in the Playlist Generator? This error usually occurs becuase of:
1) Step2, "Do not repeat artist" option - maybe it used all the artists in your base and there's not enough tracks to take.
2) Step2, "Filter by comment" - there may not be enough tracks with specified comment.

Also, I think we'll add some kind of protection to Playlist Generator, so it'll take any tracks if it has nothing else to do. Also, some options like "remove previous schedule" will also be improved.

I use those two options, but it use to work fine.
I've noticed that if I delete the database and then recreate it it's working again, but it happen again later without any reason.

The  library contain more than 8000 different titles, and every tracks have been tagged (tag with mp3tag). The playlist generator is configure to create 1 hour playlists without repeating artists, and the comment field is use to create themed playlists...

Very strange... We'll check this in the next version, I think this will be fixed.
But, are you sure, that after filtering out some tracks by comment, and using "no repeat artist" feature, you still have enough tracks to create the playlist?

Yes, the error is confirmed. Sometimes the playlist generator was failed to load a base, so it worked with zero tracks database, which caused this error.
Will be fixed by tomorrow I think.

Sorry but I still have problems with playlist generator... Is there a limit to the file number the library can handle?

What kind of problems with generator?
There is no limit in the library (it's only limited by your computer's memory capabilities, but this number is very large).
Does it show you any errors?

Always the same message : "Not enough tracks".
each time, the generation take much longer time than usual, the playback of radioboss begin cut (10-15 seconds), and after 1 or 2 min, the message box appear.

The generation time increases if it can not find tracks that suit your criteria. So it does many iterations.
What happens if you start generator by clicking Playlist -> Playlist Generator and generate using the same preset as you do by schedule?

no change. The results are exactly the same. It is not due to the generate fonction but by an error during the playlist generation.

Looks like it's something wrong with your generation settings. Please send us (support@djsoft.net) your preset and music base for analysis.
Also, try turning off some functions like filter by comment, and "do not repeat track" to see what function leads to this error.

I've installed the latest version yesterday morning (4.0.7.467) and for the moment, it seems that it's ok.
