The RemotePLE main window is divided into five areas.

On-Air status display:
The top area shows the current broadcast status from left to right:

Clock: The current time on the far left. Double-click to change the colour scheme of the status display.

Previous Track: The panel to the right of the clock shows the last played track.

On-Air Panel (centre): Shows the currently playing track. The text 'Relay' appears in the upper left
when the relay is actively streaming, or 'Wait' when the relay is enabled but the presenter is not yet
or no longer broadcasting. If the relay is disabled, the text disappears entirely. Next to it
(or, when the relay is disabled, across the full width of the panel) is the progress bar of the
current track. Below it the track title is shown - even if the track is running silently in the
background while being relayed.

Next Track: The panel to the right of the On-Air panel shows the next track in the playlist.

Speech Guide button: The green/red panel on the far right - click to toggle the speech guide on or off.
Green = active, Red = muted. (Also toggleable with Ctrl+M.)

The entire status display is only visible if a RadioBOSS API address is configured in the settings
under 'Common'.

Left tab window:
The left window contains four tabs: Playlist, FTP, Preset and OnAir.
Switch between them with Shift+F1 to Shift+F4. Each tab has its own help context (F1).

Right tab window (sources):
The right window shows the source tabs: Song, VoiceTrack, Jingle, Drop, Opener, Promo,
Contributions and RadioBOSS. Switch between them with Shift+F5 to Shift+F12.
The width of the right window can be adjusted by dragging the splitter between the left and right areas;
the set width is saved and restored on the next program start.

Player area:
At the bottom are the player buttons: Play, Pause, Stop, Tags (open Cue Point Editor) and Live
(start live stream). Above them the track title of the currently loaded track and a slider for the
playback position. During time-consuming operations (e.g. FTP file transfers or file searches)
a progress bar appears above the player; the status bar shows the current transfer speed.

Status bar:
The status bar at the bottom shows context-dependent information: number of list entries and
selected track, FTP transfer progress, previously played track or result of the last action.
Speech guide messages are also shown in the status bar.

At the right edge of the status bar is a compact status indicator, e.g. 'DI-|-|R|C 77'.
The individual segments mean:
- First segment: FTP/SFTP connection status: P| = FTP connected (passive), A| = FTP connected (active), S| = SFTP connected, D| = disconnected
- P| or -|: Preset has been changed (P) or unchanged (-)
- L~| or L+| or -|: Playlist changed (L~) / freshly loaded (L+) / unchanged (-)
- R or r or -: Relay active (R) / waiting (r) / disabled (-)
- |C or |-: Database connection available (C) or disconnected (-)
- Number at the end: Countdown in tenths of a second until the next update of the On-Air status display via the RadioBOSS API (0-250, equivalent to 0-25 seconds)
