I am here to tell you that you need a license to play music public. Without a licence, you will have to get individual license fees or negotiate a fee with the copy right holder. I have just got a Socan License, and you can see it on our site www.white-black-gaming.com we are now a proud licence to play radio station that can pay any music in the public domain. Here are some places you can go to get a licence in Canada and USA as UK is different I don't know.

USA Licenses

SEASAC:http://www.sesac.com
BMI:http://www.bmi.com
ASCAP:http://www.ascap.com/
Sound Exchange:http://www.soundexchange.com/

Canada Licenses
SOCAN:http://www.socan.ca/
SODRAC:http://www.sodrac.ca

Well, if you know more places in Canada or USA or around the world, please let us know.
