In few steps I assign to a lot of tracks RB Identifier:
1. Select all tracks I need in Windows Explorer (right click) and select "Mp3tag" (I supose that you have mp3tag installed);
2. Select all tracks from mp3tag (Ctrl-A), complete RBIdentifier field with the name of the RB Identifier and Save
3. Check in RB the result.

Nota Bene.
You need to add RBIdentifier field in mp3tag:
4. Tools -> Options -> Tag Panel
5. Also, in Tags to have all "APE" selected

You have to add that field:
At "Field" you type: RBIDENTIFIER
At "Name" type : RBIdentifier.

This is awesome! Thanks pety for making this. :)

You're welcome  :)

Does mp3tag remove any fields it do not recognize? As RadioBOSS stores another fields like custom mixing parameters.

It removed PlayCount so...
There are few people who need a tool for assign file type to tracks.
I ask again for a tool developed by Dmitry  :)

After RB 5.0 is released, I'll think about it :)

I will see all important tags from RB and I will customize mp3tag to keep all those tags, no problem  :)

Here's the complete list of additional RB tags:
Code:
BPM
Rating
Gender
Language
RBLastPlayed
PlayCount
Intro
Outro
CueIn
CueOut
FadeIn
FadeOut
MixPoint
TrackLen
RBIdentifier

Thanks a lot !

To keep all RadioBOSS tags just do the next steps (mp3tag):

1. Tools -> Options -> Tags -> Mpeg : In right side uncheck all boxes from "Remove"
2. Tools -> Options -> Tags -> Ape, Mpc... : In right side uncheck all boxes from "Remove"

Explanation for Remove

ID3v1 if enabled, Mp3tag removes an existing ID3v1 tag.
ID3v2 if enabled, Mp3tag removes an existing ID3v2 tag.
APE if enabled, Mp3tag removes an existing APEv1 or APEv2 tag.

I'm glad there's no need to add all RB's fields one by one. Thanks for the information!

I am glad too. I have my "own" tool  :)

I have embeded a "GENDER" tag in all my mp3 files.  When I view the tags in "Mp3tag" I can see the "Gender", but when I view the tags in RB, I don't see the Gender tag.  Is this normal?

you can select a file type for all these tracks without any identifier, regarding to the post date, I would guess you know what i am talking about now.

If you added this as an APE tag field, then RB won't read it, it will read the Genre field from the ID3 tags instead.

"RB Tags"

BPM
Rating
Gender
Language
RBLastPlayed
PlayCount
Intro
Outro
CueIn
CueOut
FadeIn
FadeOut
MixPoint
TrackLen
RBIdentifier

RB has made known proprietary tags where intro information is stored,
Outro, CueIn, CueOut, FadeIn, FadeOut, MixPoint, TrackLen, RBIdentifier and others.

I have mp3 already in the past edited with another direction, as you can find out with which tags were called to view these private fields (PRIV id3 tag), and via mp3tag let him do an action that tells me to take all the data from the intro field (PRIV tag) and place them in the Intro field readable by RB-

it would be a great thing to be able to convert large archives of other automatic registers to RB.

it is possible and in what way or if it is a new function applicable to RB (music library) synchronize according to the filename.mp3 all songs looking online and (spotify, itunes, amazon, EARONE etc.) IMAGE COVER, AUTHOR, TITLE, ALBUM, YEAR, GENDER, LABEL, ....
