Hello

I am using Radioboss until 3 years now its an amazing tool for my job. I have mixmusic company. My company was streamed 10 separate music lists from my website. My website is locked, not public. 20 days ago I buy the update version and I install to my Windows Server 2012 R2 in 28. That's because I limit up the streams from 10 to 28 music lists. But I have a problem. Everyday I realize that the command of playlist generator doesn't work properly as before. For example when arrives the time for the task i take a message PlGen Error: 2 (timeout) preset: "name of preset".  Not in all users but some of them.

Thanks a lot

You can try increasing the timeout value in Settings->Scheduler->Maximum time to generate the playlist (the default value is 180 seconds = 3 minutes).

Thanks for the immediate answer. But I already increase from 180 sec to 10 sec. But still the same issue. Does radioboss can work with 28 users together. I ask you because when i install the program from administrator mode when i open every new user I must fill the serial number to radioboss (i fill it 28 times for the only first time).

  Sorry for my bad english.

Thanks

You need to increase the number - if you changed from 180 to 10, you only made it worse :) Try bigger values like 1000.

As for handling multiple instances, it's not about RadioBOSS (the number of instances is not limited) - it's a question if your computer can handle it. If it has enough CPU power, memory, disk speed and network resources to handle all this.

Ok thanks a lot. My server is Windows Server 2012 R2 (64 bit) with Intel i7-6700 3.4 Ghz memory 32 gb. For how many users do you think that is perfect?

Thanks

It depends on configuration, what features are enabled etc. RadioBOSS itself doesn't require many resources/ Audio encoders (if you have internet broadcasting) require some CPU resources, playlist generator uses significant amounts of CPU and disk drive resources while creating a playlist. If you use any DSPs - they also need resources, especially Breakaway or StereoTool processing.
