This problem is continuing! No bug reports but still appearing on the log as a fatal error. We did not have this issue in previous versions.

We are getting consistent errors (00E03290) when RB v 7.1.3.0 tries to do a fadeout before the news. What would be causing this???

Is this possible? We want to process our stream in RB but avoid double processing the FM feed from the main sound card (because this is already externally processed).

Thanks for the suggestions. Yes we already tried the ?dd approach. Also we don’t overwrite files anymore - they are deleted completely a few hours after playback so the new writes are to an empty folder location. We will look at other possible causes then.....🤪

OK so we tried your suggestion and now all stream archive recordings are using the format as specified in the settings. But the glitch where the file freeezes is still occuring every week unpredictably, so streamarchive command is still flaky and unreliable. I sent you bug report today - see...

Yes Derek is quite correct if he is referring to the “start early” capability used so as to fade in a sweeper timed out to the hour so that it ends precisely at track end. That would provide a very smooth transition.

OR if the active playlist ends, say, 5 seconds before TOTH, rather than try and insert a 5 second sweeper, could we just have an option in the sweeper setup to just leave 5 sec blank in that circumstance? E.g. If time to fill < x seconds, ignore sweeper selection, (or insert blank sweeper).

Any thoughts on implementing this idea soonish? 🙄

Now that is interesting because we have been successfully saving some scheduler streamarchive events as FLAC and others as mp3. The settings window only has mp3 format set! I think I’ll try and use a single format as this might account for the glitches we get occasionally....

Thank you Dmitry that is a very good suggestion. Would it be a problem if the scheduler saved files as flac but the streamarchive recorder used mp3? Maybe we need to ensure only one of them is used....

Can the flashing be turned off for events such as weather updates? It’s a distraction to have such events brought to the atttention of the user so often....

When I manually insert a tracklist and select a file randomly, shouldn't it continue to play random tracks when I select run now? Is it meant to play only a single track?
