It's ready but we're waiting for some other customers to respond on their reported bugs, to include fixes for those issues as well. Release will be made today or tomorrow.
Why not? It's designed to be good for search and it works instantly on any size of the library. If the contents of the folder change often and you need to reindex, schedule automatic library update (Tools menu in Music Library).
Searching directly in the folder will not work good for 16k...
In the next minor update (7.1.3) the "No appropriate tracks" will be classified as Warning, not Error. This will prevent PlGen error 1 error from appearing.
All sources that you list for the category are then combined and tracks are selected according to the settings. The comment will be added...
We're currently working on it.
There's no such command presently. Anyway, this wouldn't work: after disconnection, they will be able to reconnect again. The time slots feature will be added soon, it will solve this problem.
How many files do you have in a folder? We tested it to 20k files and it worked well. Still, with many files, it's way better to use the Music Library. Reading large folder will take a lot of time. Even with fast computer and SSD loading 1k tracks takes about 1 second, for e.g. 50k track it will...
In this case I think you can wait for the new selection mode to be added, details in this topic: https://www.djsoft.net/community/threads/problem-with-repeating-songs-of-the-same-genre.12484/post-54031
I guess we'll change the "No appropriate tracks" message classification from "error" to "warning" to prevent this error message from appearing. This will be in the next minor update (7.1.3).
RadioBOSS as well as RadioBOSS Cloud have HTTP notification that is triggered on track change: https://manual.djsoft.net/radioboss/en/http_request.htm in RadioBOSS Cloud it's in the Notifications area.
Correction: no, it is not recommended by us (developers). Actually, the opposite is recommended: use two scheduled events. First to create playlist and save it, and second to play this playlist at the set time. The generate command is a legacy way to create and play playlists.
This is the...
Actually, I think that would be possible to add - starting with 7.1 the Playlist Generator already has three selection options, two Random options and one In Order. A new one called e.g. Shuffle may be introduced, that will do the following: shuffle tracks, select them one by one. Once all...
Processing of the generate command did not change (compared to 7.0) - it only loads the created playlist if there were no errors. If you use run PlaylistGeneratorPro.exe ... command then it also didn't change, only error message will be logged if there were errors.
Still, in order to operate...
If you use the playlist generator, you can create a category and change repeat protection rules there to ignore title repeat protection rule. If you make it select tracks In Order then all tracks will be selected one by one without repeating.
Maybe this will be added in the future. RB Cloud currently allows to set artwork by calling the API function, I think the same can be added to text metadata.
