Doesn't that defeat the purpose of using MySQL... for multiple computers? We would use SQLite if it was just one computer. We used to sync the databases with the XML files being copied from a master PC to the studio PCs.
We have over 80,000 tracks. An initial database index on application...
You can do this in the music library. Under Add > Import.
You need to change the file type from the default (M3U Playlist) to Legacy XML Database
Alternatively you could do this via the 'makelibrary' API command, where it will update the database based on what files reside in the folder you're...
When using version 6.0.1.5 (connected to a MySQL database) and performing an initial database search with "(All)" selected, the application freezes for 10-15 seconds. Also I don't think the search delay is adhering to the expected behavior. The timer should begin upon the last character being...
I think the bug is that we have been operating in queue mode and didn't have the 'Remove "Stop" commands after execution' option set in either our currently live versions (5.9.4.0) or the test versions (6.0.1.4), yet the behaviour was still taking place in the old version. With the 5.9.4.0...
Stops are not being cleared out of the playlist when they have been 'played' (in Queue mode). This leads to a bunch of them accumulating at the top at the end of a presenter's shift if they don't clear them out manually.
If they remain there, it can interfere with API command remote commanding...
When you highlight multiple tracks, you can drag them all up and down which is great. If you go too far up though, it stops having all of the tracks selected and drops down to only 1 track being selected. Expected behaviour would be for the track selection to 'hit' the top of the playlist and...
When the music library is updating (via API command line), database searching becomes slow within RadioBOSS, on the same system doing the music file updates and also other systems connected to the database.
When searching for artists and you start typing in an entry, you only get a couple of...
That's what we do currently. We have one computer system where all the changes are made. Robocopy scripts monitor folders for changes and when a change is detected, it pushes them to the studio computers. The studio computers also periodically refresh their schedules and reload with the latest...
The scheduler file is saved into an SDL file at the moment.
If MySQL database is used for music file information, it's usually because more than one RadioBOSS is using the database. The SDL file would likely need to be synchronised as well (such as for our case). Is there any way the schedule...
Not from the music library to the playlist. I mean songs already in the playlist, moving them around, moving them up/down etc. For example if you generate a playlist of songs and add them to the end of the existing playlist, then wanted to move those tracks up near the top (e.g. to start playing...
Would still like multi select back in the playlist... I don't think we can upgrade without that function so we may stay on 5.9.4 if it's not on the roadmap
I hope this is going to be addressed? We frequently shuffle multiple tracks around before going to air. Sure cut and paste is a workaround, but I wouldn't consider it to be a better way of managing the playlist
The 'insert stop' icon is confusing. That square icon has been around for many years and intuitively you expect it to stop playback immediately instead of 'inserting' the stop. There doesn't appear to be a way to go back to the old icon type.
Could you please either swap the icon back to the...
