custom stream titles

Is there a way to customize the stream titles for icecast and shoutcast?

I know you can have RadioBOSS hit a url with expanded track metadata. I'm just exploring for ways to do it in-stream if possible.

Hello!

You can set stream name in the Broadcast section of settings. Also, there you can specify to either use current track name, or your own text as track title.
Stream name cannot be changed during broadcast, this will require reconnect. Track title changed every time new track is started.

Is it possible to combine track id3 tags to come up with your own song title formats.

Will the song titles
always be streamed as "artist - song", or can you do define something like "artist -
song - album"?

It's not yet possible, but, it's a good idea. It'll appear in the next update.

Ready. It now allows to use these tags:
%title
%artist
%year
%album

Tags can be used with any other words, i.e format string can look like this: "%artist performing %title".

Does this need to be saved as a txt file or xml. I am trying to use a custom title for Radiocaster

This is how RadioBOSS (not RadioCaster) sends titles to server.
