When I fade a song out and another song follows it sounds great. When I fade a song out and a station id follows it plays through the fade out and I lose most of it.

You should use a file type for station id: http://manual.djsoft.net/radioboss/en/using_different_types_of_files.htm
And configure special crossfade settings for it: http://manual.djsoft.net/radioboss/en/crossfades.htm - set the "Override previous track mix point" to 0 (or low value) to make sure that station id is not overlapped with song.
