Radio Logger Recording Skipping

Hello all!

I'm running two instances  RL 2.5.0.1 on a WinXP system, loads of memory and horse power.  (XP runs two instances without issues, Win7, not so much)

We are recording AAC streams:
http://ckkq.streamon.fm/listen.m3u and http://cjzn.streamon.fm/listen.m3u

Recorded audio samples can be found here:
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B94OYQ9j4V3ZVVh4NHBIRUhoWmM&usp=sharing

The software starts up and runs fine for the first 24 to 48 hours with good recordings, normal CPU and memory usage.  (Around 1% CPU and 16,000K Memory per instance and each recorded file around 21MB).

After 24 to 48 hours, the CPU and memory usage will jump, but recordings will continue as normal.  (Aprox 25% CPU and 285,000K Memory per instance)

Another 24 to 48 hours and the recordings begin to skip as well as the recorded file sizes reduce to half normal size, around 9.5MB.

Closing the programs and restarting them (not the system) corrects the problem temporarily, but it returns after 24 to 48 hours.

The screen shot of the task manager below shows where the CPU and memory usage settle back down after restarting the program.

That is exactly what I see to my PC when I use RB and RL (and my friend too).

OK - I've added it to the list of bugs.

What are the settings for sound card, is it ASIO, DS or WASAPI?

I use DS for RadioLogger. Possible I used Wasapi sometimes on my laptop (Win7 x64).

I use DS for RadioLogger. Possible I used Wasapi sometimes on my laptop (Win7 x64).
And it fails with DS and WASAPI? Or only with DS?

I most used DS. All the time was a crash and net freeze. That's why for recording, in the same time with playback, I used another program.

We are having the same problem, with Radiologger recordings skipping and speeding up.

We now reboot the logging PC daily at 2am and everything runs fine for 8-12 hours, and then it starts to go wrong.  I think I will have to start rebooting twice daily.

We are of course obliged to record our station output in order to comply with the terms of our broadcasting licence - we need to be able to rely on Radiologger to do it but at the moment it is too unreliable.

If we have to wait another 1-2 months for this bug to be fixed we will have to look for another solution otherwise we risk prosecution by the regulator, fines, and cancellation of our broadcasting licence.  :'(

Is there any way that this issue can get priority from the DJSoft development team?  ???

And is there a workaround meanwhile - for example, would recording MP3 rather than AAC solve the problem for now?

Thanks :)
