Silence Detector

I seem to be experiencing a problem with the silence detector on the latest RadioBOSS release. Why is it that when it's set to the defualt silence threshold, it doesn't activate? I have to set it to a minimum of -25.0db in order for it to function even though it's clearly not receiving any audio signal that would constitute the system to believe it is receiving a signal of -70.0 or lower. Is there some inherit noise perhaps that's keeping it from detecting the silence below -25.0?

It calculates the maximum level of signal, not average, so -25 dB is pretty high - the background noise in line input usually higher than that.
If -25 dB doesn't work for you, try lower threshold to -50dB or lower.
Before that setting was introduced in the settings window, it was internally set to -100dB.

The problem is that when the threshold is set to a lower level such as -70, for some reason it will not activate. I've tried it several times by allowing the playlist to run out and waiting the number of seconds it's set to to load an auxilary playlist and it does not function; however, when the threshold is set higher to -25 or so, it works fine, except for the fact that it activates at the lowere db parts in certain songs. This, of course, is not a good thing. What level can I set it to in order for it work when there IS silence but not when the music level is just low? Is there some other setting I'm over looking? It worked fine on the previous version that didn't have the threshold setting.

This may be a bug... We'll check it. Thank you for information. The new release will be very soon (this or next week).
