how to automatically switch between playlists?

Hi there. New to RadioBoss after switching to this from Zara, and am stuck trying to figure out something.
I have two playlists setup. One to run through the day, and one to run from 8pm-midnight.
How can I have it automatically switch between them at the scheduled time? I was trying to figure out how to do it in an event, but can't seem to figure out how to get it to work.

maybe this will help, i do something similar, i have 5 playlists during the day/night, disco 8am-12, mellow 12-4pm, rock 4pm to 6pm, soul 6pm-9pm and progrock 9pm-12, i set them up as such

Just schedule a playlist to start when needed and that's pretty much it. If it's a music playlist, you may also want to enable the "Insert as regular playlist tracks" option. You can read more about the options here: https://manual.djsoft.net/radioboss/en/eventoptions2.htm

This helps, a bit. But I'm still confused as to how to actually get the playlist to be pulled from the event.

If we look at the attachment here, I have two playlists setup, "Club Music" and "Classic Rock". How do I save this, to be able to open it as an event.

Thanks for all the help so far with this.

i actually dont use the "playlist" thing as such, i just choose to "play" a given folder and then shuffle before inserting and then insert as regular tracks, that way i can see the tracks in the playlist and i selectively choose to re-order/delete

So when you select the action to "play" a folder, does it create a new tab with a playlist based on the files?

it doesn't create a new tab it just replaces the current tracks in the playlist window with the new ones

When you schedule a playlist file, it will simply load it to the active tab. You use the Run Now button to see how the events work, what they do. Switching tabs is also possible using the playlist command: https://manual.djsoft.net/radioboss/en/scheduler_commands.htm
But in most cases, it's way better ans easier to use one active tab, load everything there.

re "But in most cases, it's way better and easier to use one active tab, load everything there."
i have never used any other tabs in the playlist window, just the main one, works for me, as you said, my events just load up into the main window, works for me and the new queue mode works great, and i have stopped reloading the playlist every hour after the news break, i just let it go as is, and it works great, the news break plays and continues the playlist from where it left off. I was previously clearing the playlist at the news break and then reloading the play the folder event, i dont have to do that, and seems to be better at choosing tracks that havent played recently

I would like to start a playlist and stopped the current playlist at a specific time and day but I can't get it to start!
What should I check and use in programming ?
