Audio Processing order

I'm trying to better understand the crossfade settings, and I'm wondering - in what order is the processing applied, and are the set dB levels added or are they overruled?

for example: File type "song" is set to play at -1 db, but the specific song is set to play at -3db in the tag editor.

Does this mean the song will play at -1? or -3? or are they combined and play at -4db?

With processing, does the EQ come before or after the compressor?

In the compressor - does the gain come before or after the compression? (boost all levels then compress them or compress them and then boost afterwards)

And finally, with the crossfades. If you have them set to trigger at -5db, is that -5 before or after the processing?

Apologies for so many questions.

The levels are combined.

EQ comes first.

I'm not sure about this one. I'd recommend leaving the Level slider at the compressor at zero, and control the level using the general Gain slider instead.

It's takes into account the Level setting for the file. EQ, Compressor, File type level are ignored.
