Would It be possible to get a cheaper version for internet only station it is hard to justify spending $250 for a radio automation program when your just staring out. Here are a few idea that could be limited in the cheaper version

Only 1 stream
Shoutcast only no icecast streaming
96 128 and 160 bitrate only
MP3 and AAC formats only no AAC+ when you stream at 96 or higher you do not need it
2 plugins max allowed
No Advertisement Scheduler
No Report Generator
Video files not allowed

Should cost in the $60 to $75 range

Why no Icecast? In its current state, Shoutcast is not a reliable option.

It's $199 $249 is for RadioBOSS Advanced edition and that's overkill for those who are just starting.

As for a more limited and cheaper version, this will unlikely be a good thing. The cheaper version will attract slightly different audience than we have now, and I'm not sure this is what we want. People who pay less tend to require lots of assistance - meaning more work for us providing support and those costs must be covered somehow. Also, cheaper version could also lower the sales of the regular editions.

There are plenty of free radio automation software options. Most are stripped down versions. Might be what you are looking for.
