How to use Omnia 9 PTN with RadioBoss?

I have been told that Omnia sounds better than Thimeo Stereo Tool and I want to try it out.

With Stereo Tool it is easy because it has DSP and VST plugins.

But I don't understand how to link Omnia with RadioBoss, since I can't find any plugins, it's an executable application.

Does anyone know how to do it?

If you can include screenshots or a link to a tutorial, much better.

Hi,

I’m looking for the same, just to try. I do love Stereo Tool but just wanted to try Omnia too. Seen many videos of Omnia VS Stereotool in YouTube.

I've read that you have to use Virtual Cable, but I don't want to lose the sound interface processing.
If you find any solution feel free to share it. (y)

the best audio business is to use a handwere, in this case you can use a soundcard of the best quality.
that's all, everything that's virtual won't be better than hardware, even if it's close to the same sound, it's still the best soundcard/hardware

This topic would be for a different thread because it is not related to my question.
It is obvious that the hardware is preferred to the software, but in my case the hardware (it would not be the interface/sound card) but the Omnia 9 Broadcast Audio Processor, since I cannot buy it, I try to emulate it with the software developed by the same company.
Anyway thanks for your reply.

I saw you asked this at the top, and I explained that using a hardware/soundcard would be better (the way you connect it with a cable, the output from the radioboss goes to the omnia soundcard input, so you don't need a handwere mixer, it's better it still feels analog/ hadwere instead of using virtual cable)

One question, do you have a sound interface and have you tried Omnia 9 (software) with RadioBoss?
If so, send me a screenshot of your configuration, please.

I've tried it with audio processor software such as BreakawayOne Trial, and StereoTool StandAlone Trial, there is no problem, the important thing is to properly connect the input to the audioprocessor and the output from radioBOSS, you can read the manual directly from the software, because in principle there is the same type of input as WDM/ ASIO/KS

That is exactly the question I have, with the connections.

Sorry to insist on this, I do NOT want to lose the processing of my sound interface.

What would be the correct connections that I should make? If you can provide screenshots, much better.

it seems easy, you don't have to use a drawing tutorial. you just connect the hardware soundcard input and output using a physical cable.

Omnia technical support has already responded.

Instead of Omnia 9 PTN they have recommended me to use Z/IPStream 9X/2 for my radio transmission, they indicate that it is a more specific app for audio streaming.

On the other hand, they clarify that to use it with RadioBoss I must have a Limewire network using Axia IP Driver driver or else use VAC, there is no way of physical connections as another user suggested before.....

So issue solved.

Thank you all for your contributions. (y)

for sure omnia sells, that's why I suggest buying other things :) Please follow his advice, but don't use pirated goods. if you are observant Omnia PTN = BrakawayOne complete version. Many BrakawayOne/Omnia PTNs use it for streaming or FM needs, and they use a physical soundcard from a player such as (RadioBoss, RadioDJ, etc.) or use a stream receive, so that the sound is softer, either just use the output from the player using an ASIO soundcard, and input it to BreakawayOne Omnia PTN uses ASIO too. simple thing if we can imagine.

If you are using Audiolab Omnia then you will have a hardware connection. You didn't explain what purpose you were using it for could you please elaborate are you using it just for streaming as it seems you might be converting digital to analogue. I'm not sure why?

C-DSP is all digital for radio transmissions hence why I would use stereo_tool if you're using the software version Omnia 9 PTN what are you trying to connect it as it should be acting as DSP to stream digital either from RadioBoss or the DSP.

As for sounding better Hmmm, I am not sure both can sound awful if not configured properly!

From what I understand most C-DSP act just like a stream with port address and login it multiplexes the signal so you need two things FM frequency RDS ID to make sure it can be decoded from the multiplexer. You also require a C-DSP License.

So you should not need wires unless you have your own transmitter and mast.
