Some ideas for Radioboss

Hi DjSoft,

Firstly, thank you to keep Radioboss updated and increased regularly, it's a very good software, strong, stable, and very powerful, many thanks for that.

I would purpose some features for radio boss, it is possible that some of them already exist but that I did not find them :

Music Library :

1) Possibility to Hide from Music Library the "Disabled Tracks"

Tracktools :

3) Add "Instrumental" in the list for Track Genre (Male, Female, Duet), I searched for a setting to edit this list, but I didn't find it

4) You added the marvelous keyboard shortcuts for track tool which is really nice, but I didn't find a keyboard shortcut to control Next and Previous buttons

Addscheduler :

5) It is difficult to see the name of modules programmed in the addscheduler window when the access path is long, it would be easier if you could extend the window width (see Picture 1)

Playlist Generator & Additional Priority/separation Rules :

6) Possibility to use TAGS in the automation and separation rules, like :

Additional Priority --> If "Track A" have the tag "Old", action decrease priority by X

Additional Separation Rule --> If the "Track A" have the "Christmas" tag, it will be nice to define in Additional Separation rules, Do Not Repeat --> Tag --> "Christmas" in a period of Xminutes for example.

7) Determinate the good separation ratio for titles, artist, tracks : I use the scheduler to generate my daily Playlists automatically, I will be nice to have a tool to calculate exactly the best separations ratios, to avoid (it happened to me) a playlist filled only with JINGLES because Radioboss had not managed to find tracks that met the conditions.
I found out the tool "Repeat Protection Rules Test" but it's not possible to filter songs by tags or other parameters that I use in my scheduling

Thank you in advance, I hope I have been clear enough :)

Have a Merry Christmas !

Thank you for the suggestions!
Points 1, 4, 5, 6 will be implemented in the future.

I think you can use the Tags option instead of using the Gender. Gender existed before Tags were introduced, I think now there's no much need for the Gender because you can specify gender using tags.

The tool allows you to test repeat protection rules to make a general understanding. Then you create a template in the playlist generator and run it several times to ensure there are no errors. Another suggestion is not use too strict repeat protection rules - not only this decreases the chance of errors, but it also improves overall playlist quality because playlist generator has more freedom in choosing tracks.

We have already Many tags used for many things but the more tags you have the more difficult it is to read the information, this is a way to separate the information, that is why we use Genre for these things. If there is an option to edit the Genres list on our side, It could be interesting. If it's not possible, no soucy, we will found another solution :).

Thank you for the accuracy of your answers

Ok, thank you !

Yes, I use "Generate" Button, when I create a new clock in PlaylistGeneratorPro, I work exactly like this !

I will do some tests, It will be great to be able to test with the "Repetition Rules Test Tool" from the Tags, it would allow me to determine for example the repetition of the "Recurrent", or "Top Gold" only, or for example, of the titles which must pass the evening only :).

I use the scheduler to automatically generate the next day's playlists every day at 10 pm. Is there an option for me to be notified if there are any playlist generation errors at that time?
Because it seems to me that errors are not displayed in the log when playlists are automatically generated by the scheduler.

There's Language field that provides editable list of values, you can use it instead if you have it unused. I don't think we can extend the Genders list for now, it was added to the software a long time ago and its technical implementation doesn't allow easily adding new values, I'm sorry.

It will display technical errors, but not errors that occurred while creating a playlist. There's a separate playlist generator log in the Logs folder (it's in the settings folder that you can open via menu Settings->Open Settings Folder) you can inspect it to see if there are any problems.
