converting Files

Do you mean overwriting the original file when converting to the same format, for example MP3 to MP3 at a different bitrate? Or deleting the original after successfully converting to another format, such as WAV to MP3?”

No matter what kind of conversion—whether it's WAV or FLAC to MP3, or just changing the bitrate—
When I convert a file, I want the original file to be automatically deleted once the conversion is complete.
Or at least, it would be great to have an option for that.

When converting files, it would be great if there were an option to overwrite the original files.
It wouldn't really work like this, if you convert from e.g. FLAC to AAC the new file will have the .aac extension; having AAC in a file with .flac extension is inviting all sorts of problems.

You can simply delete it including from the disk: Ctrl+Shift+Del hot key, or via menu Playlist > Extra > Delete from disk.
