Hi team,
I am building out the music library taxonomy for our station, 3RT, using File Types to manage both automated voiceover sweeper triggers and Playlist Generator Pro rules.
Our setup relies on four primary File Types mapped to automated imaging matches:
While File Types work seamlessly for sweeper overlays and playlist generator rules, I've run into an issue trying to quickly search, view, or filter tracks strictly by File Type (M_Pop, M_Rock, etc.) within the main RadioBOSS Music Library interface.
A few questions for the team and community:
Thanks,
Nick
I am building out the music library taxonomy for our station, 3RT, using File Types to manage both automated voiceover sweeper triggers and Playlist Generator Pro rules.
Our setup relies on four primary File Types mapped to automated imaging matches:
- M_Pop (Electric Cyan / VO_Pop)
- M_Rock (Crimson Red / VO_Rock)
- M_Acoustic (Warm Gold / VO_Acoustic)
- M_Smooth (Deep Indigo / VO_Smooth)
While File Types work seamlessly for sweeper overlays and playlist generator rules, I've run into an issue trying to quickly search, view, or filter tracks strictly by File Type (M_Pop, M_Rock, etc.) within the main RadioBOSS Music Library interface.
A few questions for the team and community:
- Is there a search prefix or parameter syntax (e.g., filetype:M_Rock or type:M_Smooth) available in the Music Library search bar?
- If direct filtering by File Type isn't natively supported, what is the best workaround to quickly isolate these tracks in the library? (e.g., mirroring File Type codes into the Comment field, Genre, or User Tags?)
- Is adding File Type as a searchable/filterable column or search parameter planned for a future RadioBOSS update?
Thanks,
Nick
