I'm confused about the correct use of the streamarchive config menu. If I have two different recordings to make and each gets saved in a separate directory location, do I use the config menu plus the streamarchive on scheduler command, or do I specify the paths in the scheduler command...
The multiple commands only work some of the time.
Here's our multiple file entry in which streamarchive recorder fails every week (on random days):
c:\users\RB\world.m3u
streamarchive Z:\ARTSCAFE_RPT\ARTSCAFE_A.flac
Z:\ARTSCAFE-WED-1.mp3
The world plays for 10 minutes, then...
Streamarchive cannot be started like other events - the streamarchive ON command only starts without waiting for a track to finish; and the option to enqueue the command if an event is playing does not seem to exist. Can this be changed so it follows the same procedure as any scheduled event...
Yes I think so - I'm not quite sure what you would call it, but the effect of it would be "Don't play a sweeper or a playlist track if there is less than X seconds remaining before the start of an event. So if the sweeper happened to end 5 seconds short of the top of the hour, for example...
Update: Today I recorded two one hour programs in flac and the result as observed in tracklist was two one hour long files of ZERO bytes that could no longer be deleted without a reboot. You state elsewhere that the files write progressively. This is not happening. It’s an ongoing source of...
The problem with streamarchive recording continues in the most recent version of RB. We need to protect our server with Avast and have added all RB related directories and files as exceptions, but we still get locked files on a regular basis. The lockups do not coincide with any logged windows...
The sweeper function is a cool feature but we feel it could be improved somewhat. If a gap needs to be filled and a sweeper falls short by a few seconds, rather than keep the few seconds silence, RB will often go to the next track (for a ridiculously short burst of a few seconds). This causes...
Can you please advise what is the function of the new "position" indicator in tracklist series (e.g. if I select 1, does it mean the series begins from the first entry in the series? what is the 0 for?
Does the "getfile" command support deletions when it is used in the following way?
getfile C:\path_to_folder\testfile.mp3 /delete
If not, can it be added to the new features list please?
This would solve a problem I have with streamarchive files not overwriting existing files.
Streamarchive does not allow recording from Input 3 (not a priority, but thought I would draw it to your attention for a future update)
We get an invalid floating point error when we close down segue editor or tracktool (this happened in previous Beta versions too) - I'll check it on another PC...
I'm sorry to say it did not solve the problem. We are now using FLAC as suggested but today had exactly the same problem. Here's the log error:
Stream Recording: encoder exited with an error. Please check stream archive settings. Attempting to restart.
There seems to be a serious bug here...
When creating a playlist or track list is it preferable to select from a library folder or the actual file folder? Does it make any difference which one is used in the playlist setup?
We are having recording failures exactly the same as above every once in a while (latest version). We use Streamarchive command to record a program for later replay. Sometimes the write process fails and the file becomes locked and cannot be deleted without a complete reboot of RB...
Hi Dmitry
Congratulations on the new version. The playlist rendering facility is a very useful addition and works great! Also the segue editor is much improved - thank you for updating the time scale.
Closing out of tracktool or segue editor results in an "invalid floating point operation"...
Hi Dmitry
Yes of course I know they don't have stop times.... A report as you have suggested would be great thanks as grouping the current schedule helps but is not quite the same thing! That's all I meant really - to get an overall picture of scheduled events. This could show legitimate...
Or even neater if the schedule overview screen allowed events to be drag and dropped in there as blocks in the daily/weekly timetable similar to how appointments are scheduled in Outlook. The scheduler screen as now would be kept as a "whats coming up next " summary, but would continue to allow...
That is very true.... would something similar to the advert scheduler overview be a solution. Any overlapping events could be highlighted in colour to warn of possible conflicts. When there are 50-100 events in the scheduler window, it is difficult to get a "helicopter" view of what's going on.
But that's the point - on this occasion, the sweeper wasn't smart enough to take into account the circumstances. The problem is that the sweeper took precedence over events that had already been loaded to play in strict sequence. The sweeper should not have played at all if the previous event...
Today I had a strange glitch: In the first hour, my (program A) playlist had about six sequenced events that were supposed to play one after the other and finish at 58 min. The second hour had a two hour event (Program B) scheduled to play at the TOTH, preceded by a sweeper.
What actually...
