Art Work

I have searched the documentation but I did not find an explanation of the following:

In Settings -> Metadata there is an option to Send Playing Track Artwork
and in Settings -> Reports there is an option to Save Artwork in the NowPlaying file (I believe)

in either case I do not understand where the association is between the playing track and the appropriate art work. 

Does anyone understand how these options work and if the artwork would be passed along by the streaming service?  In my case I am using a Shoutcast 2 service.  I understand that this last question may be one for the provider but I was just wondering if anyone has used this option and knows how it works.

The artwork is loaded from the music file - from its tag. You can see the artwork in the "Track information" box under the playlist, it's the same artwork that's sent to the server and saved to "nowplaying".

It's good that you use Shoutcast v2 as it's the only server that accepts artwork metadata (however, there are few players that support displaying this artwork).

Thanks for the explanation.  I now understand how it works.

True about the players but fortunately our website and mobile player both support artwork.
