Audio Settings in AutoAmp (AGC) and Compressor

Hello,

We are a small community FM radio station in country Australia.

For the past 17 months we have used RadioBOSS as our main broadcast scheduler - including the inbult compressor.  The inbult compressor has worked well for us to date without the need of having a hardware compressor downstream.  We use an APHEX Dominator audio limiter at the transmitter site to eliminate excesive modulation (FM deviation).

Can anyone recommend what the compressor and/or AutoAmp (AGC) settings we should use for standard operation ?

AudioAmp (AGC)

Regarding AGC, I'd recommend you turning it off, and using ReplayGain instead.
If you don't want to use ReplayGain for some reason, you can start with the default settings for AGC and fine-tune them for your purposes. Depending on music styles you're playing, settings will vary. To make volume changes less aggressive, increase "delay" and decrease "rate".

Compressor is better to be used for Mic only, and not for music.
