I have a situation where it is necessary to pause my automation as close to the top of the hour as is possible. When inserting an event to pause this happens at the exact time the event is scheduled, which is obvious, and is as it should be. However, that's not what I want; so how do a make sure that a pause event is cued, not immediately ran?

Instead of scheduling the command directly, you can create a playlist with the pause command, and schedule it. This way, it will be queued according to the event's settings.
