I have been unable to stop crossfade on music end when an id comes up.

You should set up file types for IDs: http://manual.djsoft.net/radioboss/en/using_different_types_of_files.htm
Then configure crossfade settings the the file type: http://manual.djsoft.net/radioboss/en/crossfades.htm - set the "Override previous mix point" to zero to remove the crossfade.
