Hi

I am new to Internet Radio and am trialing your software which I think is great. Before I purchase I have a couple of questions.

I have very poor eyesight and would like to use large fonts and different coloured backgrounds. do I need to purchase the "standard" edition to do this or will the "express" version do. I will only be broadcasting one or two shows a week and will not be using RadioBOSS for automated playout outside of these times.

Any version can change the background color and playlist font size (the settings are located in the Settings window, View section)
But it can't change the UI font size. You can increase the DPI settings in Windows - which will proportionally increase font size in the RadioBOSS UI.

It's playlist font, its size and color. The playlist background color can be changed too.

Is there anyway that the control - play stop, pause - buttons can be changed as they are not very clear and I would prefer nice big coloured buttons?

Last question - can an external keypad be used rather than the control buttons or keyboard shortcuts?

The control buttons can not be changed.

By external keyboard, do you mean MIDI controller?

It is a great shame that the control buttons cannot be changed as they are not easy to see if you have poor eyesight can I make a feature request please ????

Nope not a MIDI but something like this http://www.piengineering.com/xkeys/xk24.php which can be programmed.

BTW, there was already a discussion about buttons: http://www.djsoft.net/smf/index.php/topic,978.msg4332.html#msg4332, but finally we decided to leave old style... I think we'll revive this idea.

Regarding the keypad you mentioned, I suppose this device should be able to send standard keyboard messages. Eg emulate key presses, so the keyborad in RadioBOSS will work. Their web site seems to confirm this: "The X-keys XK-24 also has a ?Hardware Mode? which gives it the ability to mimic a USB keyboard"

Many thanks for adding the request of nice big coloured buttons to the reature request.

I apologise to everyone who prefers them as they are! Having poor sight often means we turn to an application be would prefer not to use purely because it is clearer.

I love your software but those buttons may mean it is not easy enough to use and that would be a shame for me.

Not everyone likes the current style of buttons... So the new buttons (like in the link I posted) will be added in the RadioBOSS 4.7 update, which is released this month as a beta version.

Yes, I'm sorry. But as you see, the development of beta version even without this feature took about 5 months...  There were some unexpected but required architecture changes.
New buttons are still at priority and will be added soon.
