date of files

  Hello, all my files after played with radioboss change the date-hour of creation. This is a ploblem for me, because i create playlist sometimes about the date of the file. Any solution? Thanks!

Sorry. I think the cause is the update of the file for the ape2 tag. is not it? Sorry and thanks

When updating tag information it sets the Modified date, while Creation date remains intact. Are you sure it changes the creation date/time?

Totally. When the "append apev2 tag to every file...." is active, the played file change the date shown in the windows explorer, like the recient create files (a recording for example), and is a incoveniente for my collection. What are the disadvantages of using unchecked the ape tags? Or, is possible keep the date of the file with this option checked?

Windows shows modification date, not creation. You can right-click on files and select Properties - you'll see that creation date is not changed.

Turning off Apev2 tags will disable playcount and last played features. But if you use Track Tool to modify track parameters (eg. set intro, fade out etc) then Apev2 tag will be applied anyway.

Also when you edit file tags, it will change the modification date...
