I have a query regarding DTMF. I have studied the forum a lot and wanted to find a smooth way to go to TOTH when doing a live broadcast. RB is set up on a server and I use SAM locally. RB is listening to a separate URL which I broadcast on and I have configured as follows:
When I want to start my show I send a 4 digit DTMF
At the TOTH to close the show I play a new version of the news jingle with a separate DTMF on.
The 1st triggers to rebroadcast the URL I am on and the 2nd triggers the internet stream for FSN news.
My problem is that when I send the DTMF to start my stream relay it does so but on air listeners don?t hear a smooth transition they hear a few seconds of silence followed by the DTMF and then a little more silence followed by the broadcast.
When I leave at the TOTH the jingle (15s) begins on SAM, the DTMF is at the end and again this works BUT the lsisteners hear only the first few seconds (if any) if the jingle and it goes straight to the news. I cannot understand this because if the whole jingle has been sent to the stream that RB is broadcasting with DTMF at the end then surely it will play all th data received UP UNTIL the dtmf before launching the news feed?
Any advice on how to resolve these two would be great thank you.
