In most cases, the DTMF feature is used when you retransmit another station and need to insert your own commercial blocks. DTMF signals are used to mark when commercial block starts and ends. If you don't retransmit another station, probably you don't need this feature... If you retransmit another station, they should give you DTMF tones and stream URLs where you need to look for them.

Yes. You don't need to turn it off - this feature is turned on and off automatically.
