GUI issues

Hi Dmitry,

  This is an old bug but it still remains in the lastest RB version. I am running Win XP pro french and install RB in English. But if I lock the session and reopen the session some text are in french some in russian.
More annoying I sort colums in specific order that are convenient  to me, but they are always all messed up.

Are you using Windows 2003 or Windows 2000 on a remote machine?
The columns reordering issue occurs on that systems sometimes, and I don't think it can be fixed on RB side...

Regarding the Russian text :) I remember this bug was introduced in one of the RB 4.5 betas, but it was fixed couple of years ago... The Russian text appears when you first start RB, or when you close and re-open the remote session?

The French text is OK. To show the current date it uses the system format setting, as set in Windows Control Panel->Regional and Language Settings. So if you want English you can set the US or UK date/time format there.
 
It's XP Professional and I am using RDP access that's right. It's a virtual machine, and I used to access it through Virtualizer Console management tool. I recently installed a firewall/RDP gateway that enables RDP access that is much more efficient than the Console access.
Yes again russian text apears only when reopening a remote session.
Is there really nothing that could be done for the columns reordering issue ?
Date in french is not a problem.

It's XP Pro at virtual machines you're connecting to, what client OS are you using? This info is needed to recreate this setup here, so the problem will be reproduced and, probably, fixed.

Updating virtual machines to Windows 2008 Server (or Windows 7) will, most likely, solve the problem with Russian language and columns. But that doesn't sound like a convenient solution...

  You're right Win 2008 is not an option, far too expensive.
As a Client OS I am using Windows XP, Windows 7 and it's the same problem. I am also using Logmein free version to remotely access from my iPad and it's the same problem.

All right. The bug is added to the queue, I think it will be resolved in one of the next updates.
 
Hi,

  Just one more info. It seems to be linked to starting/restarting "explorer.exe" process. I installed "Link Shell Extension" to easilly and remotely manage my voice tracks from a folder inside my DropBox folder and not from the default RB folder .
At the end of installation process it restarts "Explorer" and I then notice the issue.

that's true!, to me was the same, I had a problem congeleba explorer.exe process. after the restart, RB looked in the error that you have.
My solution was to reinstall Windows, and not frozen but the process, I had no problems in RadioBOSS.
but quite obviously there is something wrong on the side of the program.
