Live365 Settings?

I've been a Live365 Pro broadcaster for a few years and I'd like to try RadioBoss (RB) as an alternative to the Live365 tools.

1. Can RB be used for the basic and live or just the latter?
2. What are the settings or tweaks I need to use/employ to use RB for Live365?
3. Any current issues using RB with Live365?

Thanks!

Hello!

1) I don't use Live365... It seems that "Basic" mode has nothing to do with RadioBOSS. In Basic mode, you just upload tracks to Live365 server and they're rotated from there. That means, RB will be suitable for Live mode only.

2) You can find the server connection settings (server address, port and password) in the Live365 control panel. Those settings should be entered in the "Broadcast" section in RadioBOSS.
You should also check the format you're broadcasting in - it should match to what you have selected in Live365 control panel. Usually it's MP3 128kbps.

3) No issues AFAIK. Except, you need to setup the "HTTP GET Request" feature to send track titles to Live365 server. It was discussed recently: http://www.djsoft.net/smf/index.php/topic,803.msg3765.html#msg3765

I would think that RadioBoss might work as a scheduler and playlist coordinator if the tracks were already on the server.  Live365 Basic is terrible at this.  For example, it's impossible to schedule a commercial to play at a specific time.  I'll try RB with Live mode in the near future.

OK, I hope it'll do well in Live mode :)
