New Stream URL fails

We have been streaming successfully from a url in this format:

They now want to change it to this format but I can’t get it to work in Radioboss:
(sorry the links are not public so I masked them a bit)
In the back and forth between the customer service and technical people they said:
“This manifest file defines the bitrate (128Kbps) and container format (MP4a) and references a child manifest file, which is currently: Audio1_1.m3u8. The Audio1_1.m3u8 manifest file is updated every 6 seconds and contains a list of 11 x 6 second long segments of aac audio in an MP4 file.”
“The parent/child m3u8 manifests are used to support failover and are part of the HLS specification, but I’m thinking that if the affiliates receiver systems is unable to support parent/child references then it might be treating Audio1_1.m3u8 as an audio segment, and failing when attempting to play it back.”
Gibberish to me. What I see in the log is: Unable to play! Error code 41 (unsupported file format).
What do I tell them I can support?
FYI: I attempted to see what kind of AAC files I can support by converting an mp3 file to aac in radioboss. It failed code 2. A problem with FFmpeg?

Forgot to mention: Both URLs play fine in a Chrome browser but don't work properly in the web playlist tab in Radioboss

This does look like HLS streaming format, and this RadioBOSS should be able to play - if you use Playlist->Add URL command.

But what the internal web browser could do, is a different thing.

If you use the "Add URL" command will this URL play?

Yes, the Add URL command was what I tried and when that didn't work I started hunting for a work around.

Hi Dmitry,
Any progress? The provider has inquired about progress and timelines. The current service we are using is due to be discontinued in favour of this new system as soon as we can get it working.
