Optimizing AutoIntro Probability for Consistent Play

Hi everyone,

I noticed that sometimes AutoIntro liners don’t play as often due to random selection and probability settings. One simple way to improve this is to filter eligible liners first and then apply weighted probabilities, so higher probability items play more consistently.

To test and visualize outcomes, I often use tools like a high-yield CD calculator it helps simulate expected plays before going live.

Would love to hear how others handle AutoIntro probabilities!

All rules have an equal probability of being selected. Then after a rule is determined, it is being checked (its probability and other parameters are checked). You can use the Cooldown feature to prevent the same auto intro rule from playing too often.

This is a thoughtful approach and makes a lot of sense. Pre-filtering eligible liners before applying weighted probabilities should reduce randomness and improve consistency. It also gives better control over rotation without removing variety. I imagine this method would be especially useful for stations trying to balance branding with fresh content during long playlists.
