Question about multiple scheduler profiles (.sdl)

I noticed that RadioBOSS allows multiple scheduler profiles (.sdl), and they can even be loaded at runtime using the load filename.sdl command.

However, I am struggling to understand the practical use of maintaining multiple scheduler profiles.

Since only one scheduler profile can be active at a time, I don't see many real-world scenarios where multiple profiles provide an advantage over a single well-organized scheduler.

How do you use multiple scheduler profiles in your station?

Are they intended for:

  • different operators?
  • seasonal schedules (Christmas, Summer, etc.)?
  • backup schedules?
  • something else?

I'd really like to hear some real-world examples.

Seasonal schedules, or weekday/weekend. It can also be used to transfer scheduled events between different computers, or creating a backup of scheduled events.

This feature made more sense in the past, when there was no "Days of the week" options and "Dayparting" and even Start/End dates.
