RadioCaster 2.5.0.0 and ID3 metadata

I'm a DJ at an online station, operating from home. Our station uses a Shoutcast server V1.  In the past I've broadcast using Winamp and its Shoutcast DSP plugin. ID3 metadata from the mp3s I play has always shown on all of the station's online players. Since there is not support for Winamp and the Shoutcast plugin, I've been looking for an alternative.  RadioCaster connects to our server and transmits, but the artist and song title from the MP3 ID3 metadata do not show on any of our online players. Is this normal operation? I've also tried the option of using text under "Options", but the typed text does not show either. Any info is appreciated.

RadioCaster does not play music tracks itself, so it does not read the metadata. It just encodes whatever audio stream you supply to it. If you want it to include metadata, you'll need to set up metadata source in the settings - it can e.g. read song name from a text file. The text file should be updated by your playout software.
