Repeat Protection not working sufficiently

Hi. I am aware this has been discussed before, however I was not able to find a definitive answer on this. Feel free to direct me to a solution if there is one.

I have protection rules set for Playlists created with several tracks to play at random from different folders. There are errors being flagged, saying not able to select tunes due to repeat protection yet this is not correct.

Is there a reason why this happens and a way around it? I also heard the same track play two days in a row when there are hundreds of other tracks to choose from in the same folder and the repeat protection is set for many days.

On the whole, the repeat protection works well but there is no 'sense' as to why it fails from time to time.

The reason is that there's no track that passes the repeat protection rules. Solution is to add more music and/or make the repeat protection rules less strict.

If you use the Track List feature, when it's unable to select a track, it ignores all rules and selects a random track.

On the whole, the repeat protection works well but there is no 'sense' as to why it fails from time to time.

The only time it fails is when there's no suitable track.
