Request for Guidance on Implementing Time Stretch System

Dear Dmitry,

I'm currently trying to set up the Time Stretch system. I’ve activated the option, but I don’t see any titles adjusting their speed—either accelerating or slowing down—to finish on time.

Could you please explain how this feature is supposed to work and what steps I might be missing to get it functioning correctly?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Best regards,

I've tried entering several different values, but nothing seems to change — I don't see any segments speeding up or slowing down. The documentation doesn't help me understand what's going on either.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding how the system works? Is it supposed to be the last track in the playlist that gets accelerated to match the end time? If so, no matter what values I use, it never aligns properly with the final timestamp.

Also, I’d like to ask: if I place an .hourmarker at 11:40, will the time stretch mechanism try to make the track end exactly at 11:40 as well ?

It will show in the first column what tracks were sped up/slowed down, it will change the speed for all tracks up to hour end. Hour markers are placed automatically only, and time stretch only works for hour end (that is, target is always :00 minute of the hour).

For testing, you can try setting some extreme values like +-25%. Also check what exclusions are made. Time stretch is not applied for file types (unless the file type has "Treat as a music track" option).

I'm using the Time Stretch System and overall it works well. However, I've noticed that sometimes it stops calculating and cuts off the track even though there are still 30 seconds left. This happens despite having correctly set the start and end points of the track.

Any ideas on what might be causing it?

Thanks in advance!

However, I've noticed that sometimes it stops calculating and cuts off the track even though there are still 30 seconds left.
It always performs a calculated and based on the calculation results, it decides if it can apply time stretch or not. E.g. it needs to apply 11% speed increase while in settings it's only allowed 10% max.

This happens despite having correctly set the start and end points of the track.
Start/End points only affect the track duration. All those points are taken into account when calculations are made.
