Run scheduled event with silence detection as a trigger

Hi Dmitry:
I wanted to propose, as a future feature, that scheduled events have an option to run when silence is detected. In other words, using the silence detector as a trigger for the scheduled event.

What would this be useful for?
I imagine using it on podcasts that download automatically and last an hour. Many of them come in a single file, and those silences are included between blocks. This way, you avoid manually cutting the file to insert a mention, ID, or time.

Best regards, everyone.

You can set up a playlist that'll be used for silence detector (action = load a playlist when silence is detected). The playlist should contain couple of music tracks (just in case) and a command to launch an event - see the runevent command here: https://manual.djsoft.net/radioboss/en/scheduler_commands.htm

Thanks for the reply. I've been reviewing the commands in detail.

I have a question.
Can I enable silence detection by adding other parameters?

For example:

silencedetector on|timeout 2|playlist C:\Playlist.m3u8

Best regards

I think I have a possible solution to run two different events through a silence detector, but it requires external software and the Radioboss API.

Best regards.

If you want to run events when the silence is detected, the easiest way would be to use the runevent command as specified above.
