I think I've got what might be considered a mind bender here. I'm having to remote administer a studio using your software and I need to make it as simple to operate as possible.

Here's what I have to accomplish. I will include the options I'm currently using to accomplish it, and where I don't note it is where I need help.

1) At 4:00 AM every morning Scheduler loads an m3u file that is an audio cue indicating "sorry to interrupt..." and then plays yesterday's morning show (always has the same name: popd.mp3). It clears the playlist when it does this and it does not wait for the current track to finish (scheduler has this one covered for me).
2) At 5:50 AM every morning scheduler loads yesterday's mid-day show (always named jsbgj.mp3). It waits for the current file to complete. (again, scheduler has this one covered for me).
3) Around 8:00 AM the morning show may be ready to go at any moment. When that happens we need to trigger an immediate event that will a) play the interrupt cue and then b) load the line.in.
4) Around 10:00 AM the mid-day show also comes on the line.in so I have that one covered.
5) When the mid-day show is finally done they need to a) come off of line.in, and then b) play the new pre-record of the day (it always has the name potd.mp3).
6) Right after the potd.mp3 is finished the Playlist Generator is used to grab 900 minutes of shows from the library and inserts an ad between them using the pre-saved Generator profile "SHUFFLE."

Since the line.in doesn't ever really time out/switch over this means that an engineer could navigate through the latter portion just by using the next key if I could just build a playlist that loads all of these things when the 4:00 AM event triggers. Is there anyway to have all of this happen (since I can't depend on the scheduler based on the time to have these events occur).

Thanks for any guidance.

Looks like you can disregard this one as about 10 seconds after I wrote it I had an epiphany.

If I build the events in reverse order after the 4:00 AM event triggers (staggering each by 15 seconds) the playlist automatically gets filled as long as the subsequent events don't clear the playlist and aren't scheduled to play immediately. This way the day old files play and after the second one plays all that is waited for is someone to hit the "Next" button for things to begin to advance again once we switch to the live inputs.

If there is a better way, however, please let me know. Thanks!

I'm glad the problem is solved :)

Also, the feature to set "line.in" duration is planned for the next release (RadioBOSS 4.5.4).
