Start playlist vs Resume Playlists

When streaming live, RadioBOSS Cloud will send titles from the live stream, track titles from overlay events are ignored. An option to send titles from overlay events already exists in the regular RadioBOSS, we'll add the same to RadioBOSS Cloud soon as well.

Ok, so this doesn't work? Thanks.

This option only works with regular playback to override playlist track titles with the track titles from the overlay event. It will not override the relay title.

Hello @djsoft during my tests, if "Pause playlist when event is playing" is checked, then RadioBoss Cloud sends the metadata of overlay event, no matter if what is playing is a track, live streaming, live dj, relay, etc -- everything works fine.

@djsoft Regarding my last comment about overlay event metadata only working when "Pause playlist" is enabled — this doesn't work entirely as expected. When unpausing a live stream, it resumes from where it left off, rather than continuing in real time as if it were running in the background. For example, if I pause a live stream four times for one minute each, the stream ends up being four minutes behind due to the accumulated pauses.

We'll check it.

It depends on what's playing, a network stream could be a file playback over the network (e.g. news) in this case pausing makes sense, for live streams not so much.

@djsoft exactly, if you fix the metadata on Radioboss Cloud to be sent during overlay events without to be necessary pause the current event (e.g.: live stream, track, etc) this will keep the live stream always working (playing) in real time... Thanks
