in France, but probably elsewhere too, teasers aren't just automatic. Many programmes where the host is live use hooks in the live programme to announce what's coming next. It's a shame to fill in elements (like the hook) and not be able to use them for anything other than the teaser. A hook is a piece of track and it can have a thousand applications on radio.
