Hi there,
we recently bought a new USB Mixer (Numark M101)
can you help in connecting RadioBoss to this Mixer, we are using Windows 8.

We mostly broadcast live using pre recorded shows, is it possible to use RadioBoss to pre record a show.

thanks,
colm

Colm,

You can record your show using RadioBOSS's Stream Archive feature (Tools->Stream Archive). Regarding the mixer, it depends on what you want to achieve, there are several possible ways to connect a mixer...

Hi, thanks for the update.
I watched the training video.
My Numark M101mixer is a USB to PC Connection, is there a tutorial for USB Mixers to RadioBoss.

I have been using RadioBoss for a year, and my shows are pre-recorded from syndicated presenters.
We are now starting to broadcast our own shows and will be using the Numark M101 USB Mixer for this.

I would greatly appreciate assistance in using my USB Mixer to control  the sound control settings in RadioBoss.
thanks,
colm

You have here all documentation of your mixer: http://www.numark.com/images/product_downloads/m101usb___quickstart_guide___v1.0.pdf

What you cannot do even if you have documentation?

Colm, USB mixers appear as a sound card in the system. To use the mixer, open Settings in RadioBOSS and configure Playback and Input devices to use the mixer's device.

Hi,
my USB mixers device on my PC  is called (4-USB Audio CODEC)
I went into Playback - and clicked on Direct Sound - Device -  Speakers (4 USB Audio CODEC)
I can hear music playing from RadioBoss on my Headphones through my USB Mixer, but i cant control the Faders on my mixer.
I have selected (4-USB Audio Codec) for "Main (on air) soundcard + Monitor Soundcard/
I also did this in "INPUT" for MIC button + Input 1 (Line in) & Input 2 Line2.in)

thanks for help so far, we are using the 4.9.0.11 Version of RadioBoss

RadioBOSS outputs audio signal to the mixer and you should use hardware faders on the mixer to control volumes.

Do not select the same device for Main and Monitor because this way you'll hear an echo (the same signal is sent twice to the same device). Monitor should be disabled (as it is by default) or, if you use it, it has to be another sound card.

Same for inputs - do not select the same input device for several Inputs. If you selected the device for MIC, the same device shouldn't be selected for Input1 or Input2.

Also I'd suggest you updating to the latest RadioBOSS 4.9.1.

In this topic you'll find some examples on how mixer board can be used: http://www.djsoft.net/smf/index.php/topic,3458.msg12919.html#msg12919
