Voicetrack and Intro Point

Need help..When I set the intro time and record a voice track for a song when it plays it cuts the song completely out up until the intro point so that it is not overlaying the song until the intro point is reached.  Any ideas as to what I might be doing wrong.  Thanks for any help.

Please open Settings->Playback->Fading, and make sure that "Attenuate music while voice track is being played" level is not too low.
