You can hide the whole left panel from the View menu. Please note that section where Logs window is shown, is also used to display Overlay Playback events when they are active.

The option to hide the logs would be highly useful in my opinion. There are things in the Left panel we may still want to see but not necessarily the logs too - so hiding the whole thing is not ideal. Being able to hide to logs specifically would allow us to declutter the main interface as much as possible on only access it as an when it is needed.
