Auto Intro Logging

Hi Dmitri,

I can't find a log for Autointro, is a Auto Intro Logging exist?

If not, Is it possible to integrate the Autointro in the Report Generator or create a Logging for Autointro as you did for Sweepers ?

On the other hand, every year there is a major update for RadioBoss in the holiday period, Is it scheduled or not ?

Thank You in advance

Altec

The Auto Intro is logged in the playback log, you can enable it from the Advanced Settings, but playback log contains a lot of other stuff. What do you need this log for? The Sweepers logging was added in the past to debug and fix bugs.

It's currently under development and will be released (as a beta) once it's ready.

It's to have an overview on what auto intro is broadcasted regurlarly or not and to understand if i don't hear it what I should do. I have more than 50 auto intro liners, so i need to control how all these liners are working.

Wonderful !

This is logged, each time an Auto Intro is inserted, it logs the rule name and what auto intro track was inserted, e.g.
Inserting auto-intro "AutoJingle1" (intro.mp3)

I thought there was a log just for autointro somewhere.
The log files in RadioBOSS are in .csv format, you can load this .csv file into Excel and filter it there to only see entries about the auto intro.

It would be interesting to have playcount and last played information in the Auto Intro window for each item.
I know for the CSV the problem is that they need to be processed, etc. It's less fluid.

Best

It does not keep this information, also the Auto Intro window is designed to configure the Auto Intro, not for reporting purposes. Maybe in the future, the Report Generator be extended to provide this information, but we'll see if there's demand for it.

Same request: I would like to see these elements included to verify their distribution. Also, to understand those that have not been distributed.

@djsoft : I would also like to revisit the question from my post of July 9th, "AutoIntro: Last played": is it possible to add the last 5 times played, as with music?
Your response suggested I consult the log, but that's not practical: it takes too long to find the information I'm looking for. Always the same reason: to check. I Try again ;)

Yes, it's saved. I can see it in the log and in the .csv file, even though it wasn't actually broadcast. This is a problem, and here's what I noticed:

An Auto Intro "A" wasn't broadcast, even though it appears in the log. After some investigation, it turns out that the file path was no longer valid: I had moved the file and forgotten to update the path in the Auto Intro rules. That was my mistake. Yet, the log showed it was broadcast. In my opinion, a no track inserted error message should appear, as I've seen in other situations.

An Auto Intro "B" wasn't played even though it appears in the log. And I didn't understand why right away. It seems that the "Intro" section is placed just before the "Start" section. The log correctly displays Inserting auto-intro "AutoSpeakB" (NameB.mp3). It should display an error message instead. But:
Is it possible to enable the Auto Intro playback even if the "Intro" point is before the "Start" point?
I've noticed that in the current version of RadioBOSS, an "Intro" point must be placed. Otherwise, the Auto Intro doesn't play. That's interesting. I placed the "Intro" point before the "Start" point to prevent the two voices from overlapping or being too close together. This is in case the singer's voice starts immediately.

And I'd like to take this opportunity to ask you to consider the "Start Mix" point, when it exists, in the Auto Intro file instead of the "End" point. I have sentence endings with pauses, for example, that blend in very well. This creates a more natural and fluid transition. Sometimes, my "Start Mix" point is quite far after the "End" point.
