We wish to be able to do the following without having to insert a separate command:
Every hour at TOTH there is either a news bulletin or a 55 minute program. At approximately 5 seconds before the hour, we want to fade out the music playlist over a period of about 5 seconds so that there is NO...
Many broadcasters need to fade the playlist music just before the start of a news bulletin, or a new program. At the moment this requires careful but tedious timing of an additional fade command so the playlist is at zero volume when the top of the hour is reached. This can be cumbersome and...
SOLVED! The NAS was connected to a network switch via two Gb NICs with the ports aggregated. When I reverted to a single LAN port, the pauses in the audio went away. Presumably something was causing the port sharing to add an instability to the stream - hesitating while trying to decide which...
Today an event at 4PM failed to play. A 10 second sweeper started playing at 4 seconds before the top of the hour. At 4PM the sweeper stopped and a track from the playlist started playing instead of the scheduled program. (RB 6.2.1.0) No errors were reported in the log. Can the sweeper...
I believe the problem is related to the MySQL database becoming unsynchronised. The report listing is working (please ignore the above and sorry for the confusion :censored:).
The playcount readings in the playlist match the database folders list on the left of the screen, but the figures in...
I see it applies to any file type other than music. The problem relates only to any music tracks which do not update in the report. It is not possible to disable playcount for music entries.
Thanks Jose for your suggestions and Dmitry for listening to this issue. We have just updated to the latest RB to see whether the problem still exists. We can't use the spilt function in this situation because the program lengths vary every day due to a preceding news broadcast which has...
Yes. "Stream Recording: encoder exited with an error. Please check stream archive settings. Attempting to restart."
This error only occurs when there are sheduled events due to play simultaneously, or a previous recording finishes as close as one second before a new recording begins. It...
We need to record two two hour long programs into two separate files from the line input - the second program immediately follows the first. Program #1 ends recording at 1 second before TOTH. Program #2 begins precisely on the hour. But this does not work reliably if there is also a...
When you tick several different times for an event to play, it appears in the schedule only once (the first time it is scheduled to play). Subsequent plays occur but nothing shows in the scheduler to indicate this is going to happen. It would be more helpful if the scheduler could show all...
We can live with the blocks being selected. It would be the same as scheduling a music playlist to start or enqueue wouldn’t it? This would be a useful feature thanks.
Yes it is, but if there are dozens of ads spread throughout the week its not so convenient to be swapping profiles all the time to set up the ad. For example all the ads in a block near the hour would fall into a profile that did not allow enqueuing. Ads that played in the middle of a...
I would have thought it could be done in the same way as scheduled events have instant and enqueued playback. Wherever possible scheduling of ads should use similar options to ordinary scheduled events so as to keep it simple.
Can this be considered for a future version? Not all ads stick to...
Is it possible to have some ads scheduled for instant playback and others enqueued in a single profile? I want those in hourly blocks to not wait for the playlist to complete a track and others played in the middle of a music playlist to wait until the current track has played...it seems...
