Adding a preset Jingle to a Playlist

Hello,

We are a community radio station in Australia and we are evaluating RadioBOSS prior to purchasing it.  It is important for us to schedule most of the content well in advance so that our volunteers can put together the program material at a time that suits them rather than having to go on air live each day.

We have worked out how to create playlists and how to schedule playlists.  However we cannot work out how to add a standard Jingle to the playlist.

Is there a special way of doing this so it becomes a standard part of the playlist and can have it's own Jingle mix point and fade out points ?

The overall answer is YES you can.

Go to Settings/Preferences/File Types (you'll already see Jingles there). You could just as easily use this area for Promos, Sweepers, Advertisements etc too.

You need to have the name JINGLE in the Artist Name OR Title Field...use TAB i for "Information" to change this after you highlight the track in the Playlist (Press F3 to get this Tab). When finished click SAVE in the Information Tab
When you do this the Jingle in the Playlist will turn Blue.
Examples:
Artist : Joe Blogg  Jingle
Artist: Jingle No 1 - Mondays ONLY
All you need is the word "Jingle" in the name

Select Tab CROSSFADES by pressing F7...Choose Jingles form the slide down box....in the bottom two fields make the appropriate mix settings (for Jingles).
