Changing the DTMF Input Monitoring Source

Normally, network audio w/DTMF tones is coming into RB via Input 1 (Line.IN).  As a backup, I have the silence detector setup to switch (in the event of silence) to an Internet stream that also contains the DTMF tones.  The problem is that when it switches, RB is still looking to Input 1 (Line.IN) for the DTMF tones. How would it be possible to have RB also change where DTMF is looking for the tones?

One thought I had was to Place a copy of RB in another folder with the DTMF set to look at the URL.  When RB senses silence it would pull up an auxilary playlist that would somehow switch to the other copy of RB and start the Internet stream w/DTMF tones, but I'm not quite sure how this could be done. I'm thinking out loud and maybe you might have a much better solution. I also see that RB has built in VB-Audio virtual cards, but I'm not sure how I could make that work, if it's even an option.

Thanks

Having 2 RadioBOSSes and using virtual cards seems to be the best solution in this case. The first one (main) will have the Silence Detector set to play Input 2. Input 2 is a virtual sound card. The second RadioBOSS (backup) is set to have the virtual sound card as its Main playback device. This way, if silence detector in main RB takes action, the backup RB comes into play via a virtual sound card.

I'm running RB 5.3.2.1.  Why is it necessary to create of copy of the RB folder and run the second version of RB from that folder, when it appears that it is possible to run a second copy of RB just from the one install?

If you run two or more RadioBOSS'es from the same folder, they will share the same settings folder, resulting in various conflicts (all those running instances will overwrite the same files, you'll also probably get error messages that a file can't be read or written).

If you want to run multiple RadioBOSS instances, they have to be installed in different folders.

Has there been any consideration to add a command in RB that can be added to a playlist that will allow you to change the source of where the DTMF is listening for DTMF tones?  If this is something that has already been added, I apologize.

This would be much easier than the solution that has already been suggested in reference to running multiple versions of RB.

There's setdtmfsource scheduler command that allows to switch DTMF source: http://manual.djsoft.net/radioboss/en/scheduler_commands.htm

Is the following a bug?  I've created a playlist to first change the DTMF input source to an internet address stream and then to play the internet stream.  When the playlist is playing and I click the "Play" button again to reload, the label in the center "ON Air" window disappears and will not appear again until I hit the stop and then play.  See screenshots.  Screenshot 2 is what happens when I press the play button a second time.

I did the above but changed the DTMF input source to the Line input 1 and to change the audio to line 1 and that works just fine.  Hmmm

RadioBOSS will show nothing in the "Now playing" box if it didn't yet retrieve track title from the server (or retrieving the title was unsuccessful).
