Sistema Operativo: Windows 10 Pro

RadioBOSS Version: 6.3.2.0
Operating System: Windows 10 Pro

Problem Description:
Hello everyone. I have a question regarding the behavior of folders set to Sequential/Random mode in the main playlist. In previous versions (6.2.20 to 6.2.30), when I had a folder (TrackList) in the queue, the program would display the song scheduled to play next. If I wanted to change that song, I would drag the folder to another position and then move it back; RadioBOSS would then reshuffle and assign a different track.

However, in the most recent versions, when moving the folder, the track remains "frozen" or locked and does not change. I have tried forcing a change by deleting and adding items, but the same behavior persists. My goal is to be able to reshuffle a folder live—before it goes on air—to maintain manual control over the broadcast.

Steps to reproduce:

Add a TrackList folder to the playlist.
Wait for the program to display the selected song.
Drag the folder to another position and then move it back to the original spot.
Observe that the selected song does not change.
I have attached a screenshot for visual reference. I would appreciate it if anyone knows of a setting to re-enable this behavior or if this is a known bug in this version.

I have attached a screenshot illustrating the current behavior.
As seen in the playlist (row 5, highlighted in pink), RadioBOSS displays a fixed track: (TrackList) Sin Bandera - Entre en Mi Vida. This track was automatically selected by the folder, but when moving the (TrackList) folder to another position and returning it to its place, the selected song does not change. The track remains "locked" until it is played.

It's not a bug, RadioBOSS checks if there's a reason to re-select a track, and if it finds none, it keeps the selected track. Moving a track in the playlist is not a reason to re-select a track.

I tried using multiple folders—and RadioBoss should be selecting a different track—but it still isn't working for any of the folders assigned to the main player. I thought adding more folders would solve the issue, but it had no effect.

Why should it? Track List selects a track that must fit the repeat protection rules, and once a track is selected, it would need a reason to re-roll it. For example, if another track was started, it will re-select a track, so that it ensures repeat protection is not violated. But if you simply move it, why would it reroll? The selected track is still OK.

Thanks for the explanation. I ran some tests and discovered additional behavior I’d like to confirm.

For example:

1. I have a Track List in Random mode pointing to a folder.
2. RadioBOSS selects, say, a song by Artist A.
3. I remove the Track List from the playlist and immediately re-add the same folder in Random mode.
4. RadioBOSS selects Artist A again.
5. If I remove and re-add it again, it continues to select the same artist.
6. Only after the selected track plays and RadioBOSS updates the playback status can the next selection be from a different artist.

Therefore, I gather that simply removing and re-adding the Track List does not trigger a genuine new selection either.

My specific question is:

Is there currently any option, command, Scheduler action, macro, or API call that allows for manually forcing the re-evaluation or re-selection of a Track List in Random mode before the selected track plays?

What I am looking for is a function equivalent to "reroll/reselect this Track List": if RadioBOSS has already selected a song for the next slot, I want to be able to manually tell it to discard that selection and pick another song from the same folder, while still respecting Repeat Protection rules.

In older versions, moving the Track List to a different position and then moving it back used to trigger this behavior, but that no longer happens in current versions.

Is there a currently recommended method to achieve this manual re-selection without having to wait for the track to play?
