DTMF and using multiple shoutcast streams

We are in the process of combining 2 streaming stations and schedules and have run into issues with bringing in multiple shoutcast stream sources.  We have 2 shows from 2 separate parts of the country and we have added them to the schedule but the first issue we ran into is if the feed doesn't air immediately on time, it will bypass it and continue on with the normal schedule.  I was wondering if DTMF would help with this as we want to this to go over as seemless as possible.  Are their any tutorials regarding this type of setup or best practices?

DTMF can only be used if the source stream broadcasts it. Does it?

As for the stream that you want to play, yes, it should be available at the time of start, otherwise the choices for the software are: wait until it's available (and keep silence on air) or move on to the next track - that's what RadioBOSS does.

sir.. this is all new to me.. i'm not sure if the stream broadcast it or not.  It is a simple shoutcast stream set up via Centova Cast.  I'm not sure if that would be something I could change or look for within the console or not.  How can we delay time in which it moves to the next scheduled item if the stream is currently not showing right away?

From what you describe, it's unlikely that this stream has DTMF embedded. You can contact stream owner to make sure.
