Enter the radio into www.internet-radio.com

Hi everyone, I would like to put my radio in the radio aggregator "www.internet-radio.com". They wrote to me that I need to make an addition to the icecast configuration file and add the following code:

</directory>

You can configure custom directory URL in Settings / Advanced.

You need to change it to http://icecast-yp.internet-radio.com - this will make it use the new directory.

RadioBOSS Cloud currently supports only one directory and you can change its location in Settings / Advanced. Do you need to add your station to multiple directories?

hi, from what I understand, these "yellow pages" are used by web radio aggregators. Since our radio is registered in various aggregators and only one asked us to change directory, I imagine that the others use the directory that Radioboss provided. If you can give me an explanation I would be grateful. Thanks and best regards

This "yellow page" configuration sets the directory where the stream will be registered automatically, by default it's the XIPH directory, and your stream host asks yo use their own one. As the registration is automatic and easy, you can see that those directories contain lots and lots of streams.

Most directories do not use Yellow pages feature of Icecast and implement their own registration/moderation process, e.g. our directory does not work with yellow pages: https://stations.radioboss.fm/ and most big directories have their own registration too.

We do not do any custom modifications to the icecast config fie, I'm sorry. The config is generated automatically based on settings and other parameters.
